Terms and conditions for using ACCTimeTracker, the free body shop software, mechanic shop software, and automotive shop payroll software

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ACCTimeTracker ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

1.1 Service Description

ACCTimeTracker is a free, web-based body shop software and mechanic shop software application designed specifically for automotive repair shops, restoration facilities, and automotive service providers. The service allows users to track flat rate hours, flag hours, manage repair orders, and generate automotive shop payroll software reports.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of ACCTimeTracker for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • modify or copy the materials
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial)
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained in the application
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials

Important Note

ACCTimeTracker is provided completely free of charge. No subscription fees, hidden costs, or premium tiers exist. The service is funded entirely through optional donations from users who find value in the software.

3. Data and Privacy

3.1 Local Data Storage

ACCTimeTracker operates on a "local-first" principle. All your data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to backup or export your data.

3.2 Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data entered into ACCTimeTracker. We do not claim any rights to your business data, employee information, or time tracking records.

3.3 Data Backup

Users are responsible for backing up their own data. While ACCTimeTracker provides export functionality, we are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, accidental deletion, or other circumstances.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information entered into ACCTimeTracker is accurate and up-to-date. This includes employee information, time entries, and business data.

4.2 Compliance

Users must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding employment, time tracking, and data protection when using ACCTimeTracker.

4.3 Prohibited Uses

You may not use ACCTimeTracker:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
  • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
  • To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
  • To submit false or misleading information

5. Service Availability

5.1 No Warranty

ACCTimeTracker is provided "as is" without any representations or warranties, express or implied. We make no representations or warranties in relation to this software or the information and materials provided.

5.2 Service Interruptions

While we strive to maintain continuous service availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to ACCTimeTracker. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

5.3 Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of ACCTimeTracker at any time without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes when possible.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ACCTimeTracker, its developers, or contributors be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use ACCTimeTracker, even if ACCTimeTracker or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

ACCTimeTracker is provided free of charge as a community service. Users assume full responsibility for their use of the software and any consequences that may arise from such use.

7. Intellectual Property

The ACCTimeTracker software, including its design, code, documentation, and all associated materials, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The software is made available under specific licensing terms that allow free use while protecting the intellectual property rights of the developers.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to ACCTimeTracker immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately. However, your locally stored data will remain on your device unless you choose to delete it.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
